Art Vault
Back in 2014 I went back to collage and started a brief called remake, this became the start of my fascination with creating art from found objects and using the principal of taking an object, making a totally new art work from it while still being able to tell what it originally was.

The Planters Project
I had the opportunity to create a piece of art work along side 20 other local artist on the side of the new seating areas around the town. All subjects had to relate to Leighton Buzzard and I opted to do a tea cup and bag to represent the time that Lipton Tea had a factory within the town.

Gas Mask, Embroidered with Dandelion's
Wishing I was home was created from a 1939 gas mask and has been embroidered with cotton through the mask. The concept of this piece are the views of a man at war and a wife waiting at home. He is in the trenches and wishing on dandelions to go home, while is wife is embroidering the dandelions wishing her husband would come home. This is represented by the dandelion on the mask, hessian head for sandbags at the trenches and a copy of the book called All's quite on the Western Front.

My tutor would not let me and made me complete it. I kept it for a couple of years and eventually entered it into a Ripley's Believe it or Not Ripcycle art competition. I came 4th and won $500 and now Ripley's now own this piece. Ever since I have finished every piece I have started, you never know where it will lead you.

The Stories Of Edgar Allan Poe Book Carving/ Altered Book
Small book carving / altered book for any horror lover. This is The Complete Stories and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe book that has been turned into a free standing sculpture. This book has been created using two books, one had no illustrations and one was a pulp fiction type book with lots of illustrations but very small. The book has been given a coat of black ink to bring the green down to look like a eerie green fog and there is a bloody hand print on the back, spine and part of the front.
