Echo Mines Studio creates one of a kind bespoke art works by finding the beauty in the damage found on reclaimed materials.
The Eggs Books It was the vintage glass case that gave me the idea for this project. I found the case with no content and was slightly damaged and I found out there would have been 3 decorated eggs inside. The case is glass and pressed wood and has its original paper makers label and dates to approx. 1970s. So finding a small damage book I created two small double sided carved books. The book itself was a very damaged French script and using left over illustrations from a vintage French dictionary to create the carving in the inside. Calling them the egg books seemed apt.
