Following on in the series of Alice in Wonderland book carvings this one is called Queen Alice! The carving is a combination of the two main Alice Stories, Looking glass and Wonderland.
Taking illustrations of Alice only they are composed together in this book carving looking at Alice through the keyhole in her various roles in the stories. This book carving has been created with a old damaged book and illustrations from old Alice in Wonderland books and Through the Looking Glass. The book has been stitched shut and has a wonderful hand cut fore edge that has a chain and key clasp. The book acts as a frame for the carving with a plexiglass front to keep the dust out.
Wonderful free standing carving for any Alice or book fan.
