Echo Mines Studio creates one of a kind bespoke art works by finding the beauty in the damage found on reclaimed materials.
Little and Smol is the title of this book carving. I came across this small slim book called Hoppus's Measurer for timber, stone and iron. Its a small ornate book that had some minor damage to it. The book has been cleaned and the damaged has been highlighted with acrylic gold guild to emphases the beauty in the damage, similar to the Japanese art of Kintsugi. The title of Little and Smol comes from the children's illustrations that are in the inside. The word of Smol comes from my children when they were younger saying Smol instead of small.
