Book Carving / Altered Book What is book carving? Its when you take a book, use the illustrations inside to create a unique one of carving or sculpture while still letting the book look like a book.
This is a large Art Nouveau Larousse dictionary that has now been turned into a book carving. The book had wear and tear mostly to the edges of the book and using a gold guild paint all damaged areas have been painted to give it a kintsugi style look. All the illustrations on the inside of the book are from the book itself.
